Good & Free

Good & Free is more than a brand - it’s a movement dedicated to providing delicious, gluten-free oatmeal and granola bars while supporting the Celiac Disease Foundation. Being gluten-free for over half my life fueled my passion for this project. Growing up was challenging because of the uncertainties, especially regarding oats. Gluten contamination of oats occurs frequently, and generally oats commercially available are not safe for those following a gluten-free diet. So, I was determined to design a product that left no doubt about it being free of gluten and celiac-safe.

Personal Project

Organic, colorful, and whimsical sketches turned into a brand pattern.

Through the brand imagery, I aimed to create a handcrafted impression that speaks to the wholesomeness of the products.

  • Transparency about ingredients was a top priority, leading me to clearly list all seven ingredients on the front of the packaging.

  • While food packaging typically leans towards muted natural colors, I wanted to break from that by integrating bright, vibrant tones.

  • I aimed to create a handcrafted impression that speaks to the wholesomeness of the products.

  • The typography was chosen for its simplicity and adjusted to convey a warmer, more authentic feel.
